This year, each of the projection walls in the Przedmieście Odrzańskie will open the door to futuristic spaces in which the boundaries between technology and imagination are blurred.

Although AI does not need sleep like we do, it could benefit from a momentary 'rest' to analyse patterns and create surreal images and futuristic stories. Such a process, reminiscent of our nightly reset, could develop its creativity and provide something like practical fantasies. This wall is like a glimpse into the dreams of artificial intelligence, into the fantasies of electronic beings. Who knows, maybe androids really do dream of electric sheep!
This wall explores the repetitive patterns of reality around us. As with the routines and rituals of everyday human life, repetition is a key element in computer systems, ensuring that they are reliable and efficient. The invited artists use loops to explore these repetitive patterns, which can lull you into a meditative trance.
A series of works inspired by the pandemic and digital acceleration of recent years. In these visions, we enter worlds of uncertainty, profound inner transformations and emotions that manifest themselves in futuristic scenarios set in the aesthetics of early sci-fi, 80s and 90s anime. Sprawling structures, viruses, space exploration, floating slums, artificial intelligence and technological experiments, both successful and failed, create a picture of a future full of fear and hope.
A programme spanning almost four decades of experimental films derived from early digital abstractions. We present a collection of animated artworks that not only illustrate the evolution of technology, but also paved the way for today's aesthetics based on artificial intelligence. From the first numerical visualisations to modern virtual spaces, these films show how technology has shaped artistic expression over the decades.
Two visions of the future on one wall: futuristic fairytales for the youngest, then a surreal dose of animation for the grown-ups. A family trip to the world of tomorrow! BEDTIME STORIES take children on a journey to unexplored worlds of the future, where futuristic machines tell exciting stories full of surprises and marvels of the future.
BADTIME STORIES will not be a bedtime tale. You will be immersed in abstract animations that blend futuristic visions with surrealism. In cooperation with the Korelacje Festival, BADTIME STORIES will link the world of new media art with original audio descriptions created by well-known writers and poets. This innovative form will open up the world of animation to new artistic interpretations.
*Audiodescription accessible to people with visual impairments. To use the author's audio description, all you need is a mobile phone with a radio set to 97.0 FM.
Artificial intelligence, cyborgs, androids, replicants - they are entering our reality more and more boldly. The OPEN CALL wall will be illuminated with FABLES FOR ROBOTS, evoking nostalgic images of robotic creatures from the past. Will robots spin their tales as we once did? We will see how the finalists of this year's Open Call approach this question.
On the second day, we will see also works by students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
