This year each of the six projection walls of the Przedmieście Odrzańskie district will serve as a portal to mysterious dimensions of the human psyche, called altered states of consciousness.
Wall a.k.a. performance of imagination, where surreal forms dance to the rhythm of various hidden emotions. The links between the elements of fantasy of individual minds create one coherent piece that may be a universal map of human perception.
This wall has a strong and dark gravity. The contrasting visual forms heighten and deepen the senses. The wall takes spectators on a journey through a melting, vibrant spacetime into mysterious areas of consciousness.
The wall of abstract colorful forms. Appearing chaotic at first, its shapeshifting visions enhance sensitivity to stimuli. An exploration where new feelings and sensations appear at each turn. Logic has no use here. To where leads the passageway through the hypnotic scenery conjured up on the wall? The final destination will be unique to every viewer.
Dream Buckets is an unexpected alternative to the prepackaged supersensorium: seven North American artists exploring the liminal space between individual dreaming and shared living. This program collectively hallucinates alternative realities aimed at inducing a state of altered consciousness that can transport viewers to a new non-standard reality.
Double-wall. Firstly guests the BED-TIME CARTOON – a visual spectacle for the youngest. Then it turns into a canvas for the first feature film in the history of the festival, CYCLES OF CREATION by Guli Silberstein. It is a fiction-documentary journey through an alternative history of the creation of the Earth by cybernetic beings.
This year, the wall hosting works from the OPEN CALL section is a daydreaming spectacle envisioned by 17 artists from all around the world. A mosaic of all kinds of diverse techniques, forms, and narration styles that make up this common insane phantasmagoria.
The artist uses scientific motifs that ponder phenomena invisible to the naked eye, such as mycelial growth or radiation. She scales the fascinating micro-worlds up into a macro-experience – a spacial projection that changes the character of the passageways through tenements of the Nadodrze neighborhood.
