Lolita Do Peso Diogo and Gabriel Wéber met at Central Saint Martins in London, and have been making things together ever since under the name ZEUGL. Album artworks, music videos, visual identities, VJing, infographics, merchandise. They do it all, from first sketch to final frame, and they do it their way: no fixed style, no comfort zone, just whatever technique best serves the work at hand.
Their client list reads like a who’s who of French independent music and culture: L’Impératrice, Moodoïd, Palais de Tokyo, Cracki Records, Pukkelpop, the Institut français de Séoul, and many more. Their work has been featured in It’s Nice That, Shots Magazine, Konbini and Trax Magazine.
At Kinomural they’re showing Chasseur Chassé.
Chasseur Chassé is an animation built entirely out of emojis. ZEUGL selected scenes and objects connected to the song’s themes and translated them into short animated sequences, where each emoji adds another layer of meaning, opening up the interpretation rather than closing it down. Simple building blocks, unexpected results. The clip was made for Iñigo Montoya and released in 2021.
