Before the visuals, there was sound. L00p spent years as a sound designer and composer for interactive media, where everything had to loop: music, effects, the endless cycle of a machine gun firing or snow crunching underfoot. That obsession with seamless repetition never left him. It just moved into a different medium. Now based in the mountains of Colorado, where he homeschools his kids and lives far from the pace of the digital world he works in, he creates high-contrast, high-saturation GIF animations dense with glitches, artifacts and the visual language of early computing. Windows 95 icons. NES pixels. The glow of a tube monitor. Classic games reimagined as contemporary visual poetry. He sees glitch not as error but as revelation, a way of finding beauty in the broken.
