Karolina Ostrowska tries to pause and notice the things that usually go unseen. A Graphic Design student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, she works across printmaking, drawing, painting and new media, with a particular interest in stop-motion animation, where still objects suddenly begin to move with a life of their own. Nature is her constant source of inspiration, and she collects fleeting moments through photography, treating them as visual notes for future works.
At Kinomural she presents Symbioza (Symbiosis), a stop-motion animation drawn entirely with salt. From this simple material, a delicate and ever-changing world emerges, exploring the connections between humans and nature. Salt becomes a living surface where organic forms appear, dissolve and transform into one another. A quiet invitation to slow down and notice that nature often hides its most beautiful stories in the smallest details.
