Joanna Iwasieczko is drawn to the meeting point between design, movement and storytelling. A student of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, she creates mainly functional and kinetic forms, while exploring animation as another way of bringing ideas to life. Outside the studio, she finds inspiration in films and long bicycle journeys.
At Kinomural she presents Historia Lasu (The Story of the Forest), a poetic animation about a world in which eight animals move in harmony with the place they have always known. Their paths intertwine in a delicate choreography, until the order begins to fall apart and the forest that shaped their existence disappears. Left without their home, the animals enter a final dance of ghosts, searching for a lost paradise and asking whether a place can remain alive once it exists only in memory.
