ARI DYKIER is an audiovisual artist based in Poland. For most of his career, he has focused on filmmaking. His passion for animation has led him to create animated visuals in the style of collage, which draws on the traditions of surrealism. He’s been inspired by artists like Jan Lenica, Bruno Schulz and Brothers Quay, and he’s developed his own ideas exploring the unconscious, following dreams and memories. He uses vintage illustrations to recreate the experience of dreams and oneiric reality, drawing inspiration from childhood fairytales, movies, paintings, books, and music. He’s the author of many AV live performances, 360° installations, AR, mappings, and video clips.
